At the heart of our brand is a story passed down through generations – one that many can identify with.

Growing up, my grandmother taught me how to nurture thick, full, and healthy kinks with simple ingredients straight from her garden and kitchen. But over time, I drifted away from these natural methods, and like many others, I fell into the trap of harsh chemical treatments—years of relaxer burns, stunted growth, thinning strands, and even loss of hairline.

These struggles are all too familiar for many South Africans today. It wasn’t until I returned to my grandmother’s timeless haircare routine that I rediscovered the power of nature’s simplicity and realized that healthy hair doesn’t need to come with harsh chemicals. “Ubuhle abusentshenzelwa.” (we don’t need to sacrifice this much for beauty).
